Production duo Planet Of Souls release their ethereal alternative pop single with vocalist Samsaruh titled ‘Love Is The Cure', the third single from their upcoming album ‘Lumiere’.
Planet Of Souls is the collaborative project of producers Paul Rogers and Tom Barlow, blending cinematic songwriting with electronic textures inspired by the ’90s and ’00s. Though the project is new, both bring significant pedigree: Rogers has collaborated with UNKLE, Sasha, Pete Tong and Gorillaz, earning support from BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM, while Barlow’s productions have featured on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat imprint with support from Carl Cox. Since launch, Planet Of Souls have received coverage from BBC Radio 1, NOTION and DMY, with debut single ‘One’ featured in 'Greys Anatomy' in January 2026 and Netflix’s 'The Survivor', which reached #2 globally last year.
Samsaruh is an Australian vocalist, songwriter and producer whose work spans contemporary songwriting, electronic collaboration and cinematic sound. She has toured extensively across Australia and performed at major festivals including Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Groovin the Moo and NYE on the Hill, supporting artists such as John Butler Trio, Birds of Tokyo, Dean Lewis, Peking Duk and San Cisco. Her music has topped triple j and US college radio charts, earning multiple #1 and “most played” placements. As a collaborator, she has worked with producers and artists across Australia and the US, contributing vocals and writing across electronic, pop, rock and orchestral projects. In recent years, she has expanded her practice into sound-focused and acoustic work, collaborating with artists including Planet of Souls, Franko Heke and Cymatic Harmony.
‘Beneath the Silence’ sees Planet Of Souls team up with Samsaruh on a cinematic indie single built around rich instrumentation, dynamic arrangement and a sense of scale. The track combines live strings, textured production and a multi-part structure, drawing influence from artists spanning the 1960s through to the 1990s while remaining rooted in contemporary songwriting.
"The track ‘Love Is The Cure' is one of the first instrumentals we worked on together after we built our studio. We had spent months working on designing hundreds of unique sounds on our collection of synthesisers and we locked onto a group of drones that seemed to blend, evolve and transform into something utterly hypnotic. Paul started to write piano around these sounds, and eventually we collaborated with some incredible musicians to flesh out the full instrumental. Samsaruh, the artist featured, sent us the first draft of the vocals, and we were completely floored. Her voice has an ethereal, spiritually elevating and naturally beautiful sound to it, and we feel that 'Love is the Cure' provides a powerful message that seems to capture the zeitgeist of the current moment, where the world seems more divided than ever.”
’Love Is The Cure’ is out now on Anjunachill.
