HRSN (Because of Art Revisit)

Presenting the next instalment of Anjunachill’s revisited series, London-based DJ & producer Because of Art reimagines his standout track ‘HRSN’ alongside Jody Wisternoff, James Grant and singer-songwriter Ayah Marar.

Alex Grover, aka Because of Art, made his Anjuna debut back in 2023 with ‘Free’, a collaboration with label boss James Grant and Bristolian DJ Jody Wisternoff, featured on Anjunadeep 13. Since then, he has gone from strength to strength, delivering three acclaimed EPs on Anjunadeep and amassing over 1.7 million streams on these releases. Most recently, he performed to a 10,000-strong crowd at Anjunadeep Open Air London at the iconic Old Royal Naval College in Greenwhich.

‘HRSN’ marked the second collaboration between the trio and featured multi-platinum singer Ayah Marar. Beginning her career in the underground drum & bass scene, Ayah quickly built a reputation as a versatile writer and performer across the electronic spectrum, from early collaborations with drum and bass stalwarts Loxy and Ink to global chart-toppers Calvin Harris and DJ Fresh.

Now, Because of Art reworks this Anjuna fan favourite into a slow-burning yet euphoric production, elevated by Ayah’s unforgettable vocals. Reflecting on the revisit, Alex says:

“I thought the chords, arpeggiator and melodies in ‘HRSN’ were so beautiful that I often started listening to it without the drums. I liked it so much that I created a new chilled version, so that people could enjoy the record in a totally different way to the original version.”
