GRAMMY award-winning UK duo Dirty Vegas (aka Paul Harris and Steve Smith) close out 2024 with their ‘Believer EP’ on Anjunabeats.
Following on the heels of their first original release since 2020, ‘Believer’, the full ‘Believer EP’ is completed by the addition of two more progressive tracks, 'Underwater' and 'Won't Let You Go', which, stay on brand in featuring the band's own vocals.
“Believer” is about believing in fate and destiny and that the universe works with you. Putting faith in how we connect with those we love. When we got back into the studio earlier this year, it was a blank canvas for us, but we knew that our early club roots is what we felt most passionate about. We knew as we were making our first new music for a long time it would be amazing to be on one of the best-respected labels in the world ‘Anjuna’. The label roster has some of our favourite current artists as well as legendary ones, and we feel a genuine connection with the Anjuna family,” - Dirty Vegas.
The duo are premiering their EP with a view of their new live setup that fans can see in a recorded set played in Stonegate Forest in Kent, England earlier this year.
With a legendary career starting in 2001, the duo rose to stardom with their timeless classic, ‘Days Go By.’ The track won a GRAMMY in 2003 for Best Dance Recording, and it reached mainstream pop culture as part of a famous Mitsubishi commercial that was so omnipresent that it even became the subject of a parody skit created by Dave Chappelle. The song was a crucial moment in the '90s/2000s electronica explosion and helped to bring electronic music to the global masses.
Paul Harris and Steve Smith have continued growing the Dirty Vegas name through the years, bringing their incredible writing and production techniques and skills behind the board to contemporary dance music. Paul has worked with Anyma, Cassian, Dom Dolla, Duke Dumont, Parisi, Tiësto, and Vintage Culture. At the same time, Steve has created music with anamē, Portugal the Man, Santiago Garcia, and Sultan + Shepard. Dirty Vegas’ music has also been synced to various TV / Film and video games.
