Planet Of Souls unveil their second single, ‘One’, featuring the haunting vocals of Lily Papas.
Born from a shared passion for analog synths, lush sound design, and the golden eras of ’90s and ’00s electronica, Paul Rogers and Tom Barlow created Planet Of Souls to bridge emotive songwriting with cinematic electronic production. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Jon Hopkins, Massive Attack, RY X, and The Chemical Brothers, their sound is expansive, introspective, and deeply immersive.
Though Planet Of Souls is a new creative venture, both producers have long-standing roots in the electronic world. Paul Rogers has worked with acclaimed artists including UNKLE, Sasha, Pete Tong, and Fink, and remixed for N.E.R.D & Pharrell, Gorillaz, and Underworld. His solo releases have appeared on tastemaker labels like Anjunadeep and Crosstown Rebels, with his 2024 collaboration ‘Where’s The Music Gone’ (alongside Pete Tong and Cristoph) earning major support from BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM. Tom Barlow, a highly respected sound designer, has released on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat and Elite Force’s Used & Abused, with endorsements from electronic pioneers including Carl Cox.
Their latest single ‘One’ features Australian singer-songwriter Lily Papas, whose ethereal vocals and emotionally charged songwriting elevate the track’s cinematic depth. Her debut single ‘Wild’ was released via Neon Records / Universal Music Australia in 2019 and landed her live performances on the AO LIVE Stage at the 2020 Australian Open and on The Today Show. In 2021, she released her debut album via Universal Music Publishing Australia, earning editorial support across Apple Music, Spotify, and Triple J Unearthed. A multidisciplinary artist, Lily also collaborated with Dior on a fashion and music feature.
‘One’ continues to evolve Planet Of Souls’ sonic identity - a slow-burning, ethereal track that swells to a stirring crescendo of strings. It was recently featured in Netflix’s 'The Survivors', currently ranked as the second most-watched show globally in June 2025.
‘One’ featuring Lily Papas is out now on Anjunachill.
