Genix releases the club-orientated reworks of his latest studio album ‘YOU.ME.NOW’, out now on Anjunabeats.
Building on years of innovation and versatility across the spectrum of electronic music, Genix comes full circle on his second studio album ‘YOU.ME.NOW’. An established DJ and producer who’s maintained his status as an innovator for the duration of his career, and following an unbeatable run of releases that’s cemented him as one of the leading artists on Anjunabeats, Genix was inspired to look towards his roots on his sophomore album.
‘YOU.ME.NOW’ is an exhilarating fusion of early-rave euphoria and Genix’s unmistakably modern approach to production. From the iconic piano melodies that ring through the opener ‘Strange, Strange Days’, to his rework of Corona’s 90s anthem ‘Baby, Baby’, there’s a timeless quality to YOU.ME.NOW.
The album arrived hot on the heels of Genix’s floor-filling singles ‘Baby Baby’, ‘Dance Like Nobody’s Watching', 'On & On’ and ‘Lights, Sound, Camera, Action’, which saw multiple spins from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard and Arielle Free, with a Radio 1 Dance presents feature on the station throughout May. Further support on UK radio has come from KISS FM’s Ben Malone and Sam Divine, as well as over in the USA on Sirius XM BPM & Diplo’s Revolution. These singles have also repeatedly featured on the BBC's flagship Premier League show Match of the Day since January.
Combining the previously released club version of ‘Under My Skin’ out earlier in October, this package of reworks sees two brand new co-collabs with US-based artists, OMAIR and NOMADsignal.
With a catalogue over a decade long, OMAIR has garnered support and attention from some of the biggest names in dance music from Black Hole and Coldharbour Recordings to playing at EDC Las Vegas and Ultra Music Festival Chile. OMAIR now collaborates with Genix & flowanastasia on ‘Dependent On You’.
NOMADsignal is the moniker of Miami-born American recording artist, composer, and DJ, Nicholas Schwab. Specialising in dramatic, cinematic, and melodically influenced electronic music, he has been supported internationally by major acts such as Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Sander Van Doorn, Markus Schulz and more. NOMADsignal joins forces with Genix & Zashanell on ‘Leave The Light On’.
Having a successful album tour this summer across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia as well as the Anjunabeats After Dark tour, Genix recently played Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 600, Mexico City and the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Colorado, showcasing the club-ready credentials of these remixes to crowds of up to 14,000 people.
