Anjunabeats Essentials 01

Anjunabeats Essentials 01 marks the inaugural release of Anjunabeats’ new vinyl-only imprint series, a curated home for some of our favourite and most essential new records from the catalogue.

Side A opens with Above & Beyond’s ‘Sun In Your Eyes’ (Marsh Remix). Anjunadeep mainstay Marsh makes a rare appearance on Anjunabeats with his remix of the beloved classic. A devoted fan of Above & Beyond for many years, Marsh’s rework transforms the cinematic original into a darker, progressive journey built for the dancefloor. 

Next is Oliver Smith’s 250 Mix of Smith & Pledger’s ‘Northern Lights’. Smith & Pledger, the English trance duo made up of Oliver Smith and Mark Pledger, helped to define the early era of the label’s sound. Debuted in his ABGT250 set in 2017, Oliver’s anthemic 250 Mix of ‘Northern Lights’ soon became one of his top requested tracks.

Closing out Side A is ‘Redemption’ by J Ribbon, a driving progressive house track that earned support from the likes of Dom Dolla, Joris Voorn and Korolova. Last year, alongside his residencies at [UNVRS] Ibiza and Hï Ibiza, J Ribbon played multiple sold-out shows at O2 Academy Brixton opening for Above & Beyond and Ushuaïa Ibiza opening for the likes of Eric Prydz and Adam Beyer.

Side B begins with ‘Feels Like’ by Genix & Bebi, a speed garage floorfiller that sees the pair collaborate for the first time. Label mainstay Genix, known for his trance, progressive and rave-inspired production, joins forces with his longtime friend Bruce Karlsson, aka Bebi.

Following that is ‘Stardust’ by Nitrous Oxide, a soaring trance track from a staple name in the genre. Nitrous Oxide is Krzysztof Prętkiewicz from Poland, a prolific producer with an array of timeless releases under his belt.

Closing out Essentials 01 is Dosem’s ‘Ultrarave’. With a career spanning over 15 years, Marc Dosem first teamed up with sister label, Anjunadeep, in 2018 on the two-track single ‘Not A Coincidence / Why Give Up Before We Try’. Released as part of his ‘Futuregate EP’, ‘Ultrarave’ marks the first solo release on Anjunabeats from the renowned Spanish DJ and producer. 

Anjunabeats Essentials 01 is a collection of six exclusive tracks, previously unreleased on physical format, now available on coloured vinyl limited to 500 units worldwide.
