Genix releases the second remix package of his latest studio album ‘YOU.ME.NOW’, out now on Anjunabeats.
Building on years of innovation and versatility across the spectrum of electronic music, Genix comes full circle on his second studio album ‘YOU.ME.NOW’. An established DJ and producer who’s maintained his status as an innovator for the duration of his career, and following an unbeatable run of releases that’s cemented him as one of the leading artists on Anjunabeats, Genix was inspired to look towards his roots on his sophomore album.
‘YOU.ME.NOW’ is an exhilarating fusion of early-rave euphoria and Genix’s unmistakably modern approach to production. From the iconic piano melodies that ring through the opener ‘Strange, Strange Days’, to his rework of Corona’s 90s anthem ‘Baby, Baby’, there’s a timeless quality to YOU.ME.NOW.
The album arrived hot on the heels of Genix’s floor-filling singles ‘Baby Baby’, ‘Dance Like Nobody’s Watching', 'On & On’ and ‘Lights, Sound, Camera, Action’, which saw multiple spins from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard and Arielle Free, with a Radio 1 Dance presents feature on the station throughout May. Further support on UK radio has come from KISS FM’s Ben Malone and Sam Divine, as well as over in the USA on Sirius XM BPM & Diplo’s Revolution. These singles have also repeatedly featured on the BBC's flagship Premier League show Match of the Day since January.
Now, Finnish DJ and producer Anton Sonin, aka SØNIN, puts his signature trance spin on Genix & flowanastasia ‘Dependent On You’. With over a decade of production experience with some of dance music's biggest names, SØNIN is no stranger to breaking into the trance charts. His 2023 debut EP on Anjunabeats, the ‘Affection EP’, flew up the Beatport Top 100 Trance chart, with standout track ‘Passion’ quickly landing at #1. Most recently, SØNIN released his single ‘Brighton BOP’, a collaboration with platinum-selling producer Jaakko Salovaara (JS), which saw support from Korolova, W&W and many more.
Texas-born DJ and producer AmyElle remixes Genix & Sandy Chambers ‘Baby Baby’. Amy’s career kickstarted during the global pandemic, quickly amassing a large following through her DJ edits on TikTok. In 2021, she was announced as the first female DJ for Spotify’s newly launched DJ Mix series, playing alongside Skream, Jamie Jones, Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, Sarah Story, Denis Cruz & more, at world-class venues such as Drumsheds and Warehouse Project.
Tyr Korhout, a Toronto-based producer and DJ, places a drum and bass twist on Genix & flowanastasia’s ‘Lights, Sound, Camera, Action’. Tyr has released on Deviant Audio, Hospital Records, Flight Patterns Records and many more. His music has also premiered on BBC Radio 1, Skankandbass, DNBArema and DnB portal.
Hailing from Scotland, Glaswegian DJ and producer Stephen Kirkwood remixes Genix’s ‘There Is No Fall In Love’. Combining elements of modern techno and classic trance, Stephen has released on some of the biggest labels in the industry, including Stress Records, Spinnin’ Records, Subculture, Respekt Recordings, Yoshitoshi and our very own, Anjunabeats.
