Genix releases the first remix package of his latest studio album ‘YOU.ME.NOW’, out now on Anjunabeats.
Building on years of innovation and versatility across the spectrum of electronic music, Genix comes full circle on his second studio album ‘YOU.ME.NOW’. An established DJ and producer who’s maintained his status as an innovator for the duration of his career, and following an unbeatable run of releases that’s cemented him as one of the leading artists on Anjunabeats, Genix was inspired to look towards his roots on his sophomore album.
‘YOU.ME.NOW’ is an exhilarating fusion of early-rave euphoria and Genix’s unmistakably modern approach to production. From the iconic piano melodies that ring through the opener ‘Strange, Strange Days’, to his rework of Corona’s 90s anthem ‘Baby, Baby’, there’s a timeless quality to YOU.ME.NOW.
The album arrived hot on the heels of Genix’s floor-filling singles ‘Baby Baby’, ‘Dance Like Nobody’s Watching', 'On & On’ and ‘Lights, Sound, Camera, Action’, which saw multiple spins from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard and Arielle Free, with a Radio 1 Dance presents feature on the station throughout May. Further support on UK radio has come from KISS FM’s Ben Malone and Sam Divine, as well as over in the USA on Sirius XM BPM & Diplo’s Revolution. These singles have also repeatedly featured on the BBC's flagship Premier League show Match of the Day since January.
Now, Manchester-based producer Yeadon remixes Genix & flowanastasia’s ‘Lights, Sound, Camera, Action’. Yeadon recently made his Anjunabeats debut with 'Expanse' as part of our Rising EP series, which saw spins from MEDUZA, VONDA7, Don Diablo, Solarstone, Adam White, Cosmic Gate, Farius and many more. Inspired by late 90’s and early 00’s trance records, he’s achieved several Beatport Top 10 singles in recent years and amassed millions of streams across his catalogue.
Rising talent maybe puts his signature melodic spin on ‘Dependent On You’. The London-based producer also made his Anjunabeats debut of late with ‘Intoxicated’, released as part of our Rising EP series, which earned support from KREAM, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Lange, James Organ, KLANGSTEIN, Suzy Solar, Ronski Speed, XiJaro & Pitch, Ruben De Ronde, Super8 & Tab and beyond.
Genix recently embarked on a headline album tour, spanning North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, with stops at Anjunadeep Explorations in Albania, New York, Outernet in London and many more. Tickets on sale now: https://anjunabeats.com/gb/genix
