ARTY & Mat Zo's 'Rebound', one of Anjunabeats most legendary releases, receives its first ever official remix from Jason Ross.
Anjunabeats' 200th release, 'Rebound' was a groundbreaking moment not only for our label, but for electronic dance music at large. It became one of the standout anthems of EDM’s American boom era, and was played on the world’s biggest stages by Above & Beyond, Tiestö, Hardwell, Porter Robinson, Armin van Buuren and many, many more. 'Rebound' was at the forefront of the 'trance 2.0' sound, inspiring a new generation of artists and sounds both at Anjunabeats and beyond.
'Rebound' has never been remixed officially, until now. One of 2021's breakout stars, Jason Ross returns to Anjunabeats to deliver a bass rework that’s worthy of the source material.
An Anjunabeats staple for many years, Jason began a new sonic journey on Seven Lions' Ophelia Records imprint in 2019. Fusing melodic dubstep with his trance-inspired sound, he released his debut artist album '1000 Faces' in February 2020, and embarked on a livestreaming odyssey with his 'The Atlas' series during lockdown, presented by Insomniac. He’s an artist on top of his game, both as a producer and a performer, and has appeared at EDC Las Vegas and Orlando, and toured with ILLENIUM, Gryffin and Seven Lions.
He's kept close to his trance roots, returning to Anjunabeats to release 'The Accord' in September 2020, which was selected by Above & Beyond for Anjunabeats Volume 15. A&B debuted Jason's remix of 'Rebound' at Group Therapy 450 in London, to great fanfare.
