A respected DJ and producer, Jon Gurd came through the UK underground in the early 2000s, touring the world and playing alongside the likes of Mauro Picotto and Paul Van Dyk. His diverse catalogue, ranging from jet-black techno to emotive electronica, has been championed by Paul Woolford, Sasha, Lee Burridge, Loco Dice and Adam Beyer.

Dedicated to his older brother, 'Lion' marks an emotional statement LP for the Portsmouth native. With influences ranging from Nick Cave to Matthew Dear, Jon blends stirring melodies with intricate production whilst exploring themes of loss and rebirth.

In recognition of his son Jamie who has severe epilepsy, Jon Gurd will be supporting national UK charity KIDS with his upcoming album 'Lion', his debut release with Anjunadeep.
