FAQ

THE FESTIVAL

Where is elevations?

Avoriaz, France. The highest resort in the Portes du Soleil, close to the Swiss border. The closest major airport is Geneva.

What are the dates of the festival?

Elevations takes place between Saturday 28th March - Friday 3rd April 2020. Saturday 28th March and Friday 3rd April dates are travel days, where the vast majority of you will be travelling in to travelling out of the resort. As such, there’s no music programming on those days.

What’s included in the ticket?

All tickets for elevations come as part of a package. You’re booking a holiday, not just a festival ticket!

There’s two types of packages available:

Standard package: A festival wristband granting you access to all the music events + accommodation.

Flight package: Return flights to and from Geneva + return transfers + a festival wristband + accommodation. Only available from select EU cities only, sorry!

The price per person will vary depending on the size of your group and your choice of accommodation. Prices start at £259 per person. That includes accommodation and festival wristband.

What is the festival program like?

The very best of Anjunabeats from our past, present and future. It’s our 20th birthday this year, so we thought long and hard about a lineup that reflects the full range of sounds you can hear on the label. There’s a few curveballs and unannounced sets as well.

There’s several stages across the resort: one large outdoor stage, where we’ll dance beneath the stars, intimate nightclubs and bars, an igloo plus the infamous Folie Douce après bar. All the venues are close to each other.

How does the deposit scheme work?

You can reserve your spot with a small deposit. The remaining balance can be paid at anytime before the final balance date. The deposit for a standard package is £50 per person or £150 per person for flight bookings. There are no direct debits but you can pay off as much as you wish up until the final balance date.

Payments are made via your login which you can access via the booking confirmation you'll receive. Each member of the group can login and make payments using separate cards.

Don’t worry, we’ll send you a reminder about your balance before its due.

Avoriaz is a ski-in, ski-out resort - what does that mean?

Due to its altitude, Avoriaz is completely car free. You can ski from the front door of your apartment to the lifts. The resort is easy to navigate by foot. Instead of taxis, Avoriaz has sleds pulled by horses.

Will there be snow at the end of March?

Avoriaz is the highest resort in the area, which means quality snow is (pretty much) guaranteed throughout the season! Historically, March is an excellent month in Avoriaz.

What else is there to do?

Look…. we’re there to ski and listen to music… but you’ll be pleased to hear there’s loads to enjoy in resort. We’ll be sharing more information over the coming months, but Avoriaz has an aquatic centre, spas, cinema, bowling alley and a host of amazing restaurants and bars.

We’ll have a full wellness program and some other Anjuna-flavoured experiences that you’ll be able to add to your booking. Keep an eye on our socials for more announcements!

Is there a festival map

Coming soon, but you can check the resort map to get your bearings!

TRAVEL

What is the closest airport?

Geneva airport is the closest airport to Avoriaz and is where our transfer services run from and to.

Do you provide transfers?

Yes! However, note that only flight packages include airport transfers by default. If you book a standard package, you’ll need to add transfers to your package manually. We’ll also need the flight details for all members of your party added to our manage booking platform.

We offer two types of transfers:

Standard

Three hours

A coach from Geneva airport to Avoriaz arrivals centre.

Speedy

Two hours

A Minivan from Geneva airport to Avoriaz arrivals centre.

I have booked my own transfers, what is the address of my accommodation?

Avoriaz is a car free resort. All transfers will drop you at the Avoriaz arrivals centre or at the bottom of the Prodains lift.

There is one exception: if you are booked to stay in L’Amara and have a smaller transfer vehicle such as a minibus, you can be dropped directly at the building.

Arrivals address: 462 Route De L'Accueil 74110 Morzine, France Coordinates: 46.193928, 6.770145

Where can I find my transfer information?

All the information will be sent via email in the weeks leading up to your departure. If you have booked as a group, the information will be sent to the lead booker (whoever has been managing the booking on behalf of the group). Information on the type of transfer you’ve chosen will be detailed both on manage booking and on your booking confirmation. You will receive further information in the form of an e-ticket before you travel.

Are there taxis in Avoriaz?

No, however you can take a horse-pulled sled to get you from A to B.

Can I travel from Morzine?

Morzine is a nearby resort further down the mountain. Your onwards travel to Avoriaz will need to be booked separately. Morzine is (approximately) a 30 minute drive from Avoriaz.

BOOKING

What is the age limit for the festival?

Elevations is 18+ and there will be age checks at all the music programming events. Your family is welcome to attend and enjoy the skiing, however anyone under 18 will not be permitted into any of the elevations stages.

Can I book for shorter than a week?

Yes, the minimum stay is (three nights). We strongly recommend staying for the duration, who knows what you’ll miss out on! Not all apartments are available to book for less than a week. Our booking portal will show a smaller selection of accommodation options if your preferred dates are shorter than the full six days.

We are a large group, how can we book!

Hello large group, nice to meet you! You can have a maximum of 12 people in one apartment (subject to availability). If you have a big group but our larger apartments are sold out, you’ll need to split your travel party over multiple apartments. Try and fill out the rooms - you’ll save money and not end up paying for unused beds.

I’d like to meet other people to fill up an apartment?

Great! That’s an awesome way to make new mates. Visit our Facebook ‘Find a friend’ Group to connect with people looking for a group to split accommodation with.

Do you offer any group discounts?

If you are booking for a large group of nine or more people, discounts may apply! Email us at snow@anjunabeats.com.

Can my group travel from different airports or on different flights?

If you choose our flight package option, unfortunately all flights for all passengers must be the same. If anyone from your group wants to travel to and from different airports or on different dates or at different times, please book a standard package and book your flights separately.

Is baggage included in my flight package?

Baggage must be added as an extra to your booking during the booking process. If you forget, this can be added later via our manage booking platform or direct via the airline.

Can I add sports equipment to my flight package?

Sports equipment (including bulky ski and snowboard bags) must be booked in advance directly with the airline. Unsure how to do this? Just ask us how. snow@anjunabeats.com

Can I add someone to my booking?

Certainly, this can be done via the manage booking platform. The booking balance will be adjusted automatically to account for the additional passenger. Contact our customer service team if you have specific questions on this topic: snow@anjunabeats.com

A person in our group can’t make it anymore, can I change the name on our booking?

Certainly, this costs £20 per person and must be completed via the manage booking platform. If you have a flight inclusive package booked with us, you will need to make a further change directly with the airline which may incur additional fees. Name changes can be made up until 14th March 2020, after that point we cannot accept any name changes. Accommodation providers need this information well in advance.

Can I cancel my booking?

As with any holiday booking, cancellation fees may apply. You can view our terms and conditions, which include details on our cancellation policy, at any time.

How do I pay for the remainder of my balance?

Payments are made via the manage booking portal. A link to the manage booking platform is sent out with your booking confirmation email. Each member of the group can login and make payments using separate cards.

When will my ticket arrive?

Wristbands must be collected in person at the event and won’t be sent in the post to any address. You can collect your wristband with your booking number and a photographic ID. Keep your booking confirmation handy!

We will detail where you will pick up your wristband from in your pre-trip information document that you receive a few weeks before the event via email

I’m a local, can I book an elevations festival ticket?

Local ticket sales will be available closer to the event date. Please note that these tickets are limited and priority is given to seasonal workers and local residents. Pro tip: you can still book a lift pass for the week of the event through us and save a few pennies.

Who’s on the lineup?

Check the lineup page!

Can I DJ at the event?

We’re not taking submissions for guest DJs. Sorry, got plenty of them kicking around already.

I made a mistake when entering my groups personal details.

You can update a contact number, email address or date of birth online via the manage booking portal. Simply log in, click on the eye icon beside the individual's name and make your change at no cost.

If you've booked without flights and notice a typo on a passenger’s name, you will need to contact our customer service to update it, again, free of charge. Full name changes, however, cost £20. If you have booked flights and require any changes to a name, you must do this with your airline directly and are responsible for picking up any fees.
